Our History

MY DAD STARTED THIS BUSINESS DECADES AGO.

My history in telemarketing spans over 30 years—first calling homes on different calling campaigns, businesses, as well as setting appointments for a personal-lines insurance agent.

I inherited this business 20 years ago from my Dad, Ed Egler, who prior to his retirement, found this niche in the insurance industry as he had a greatly sought-after knack for setting appointments for his colleagues.

Click on the video below where I tell the story about how ELEmark got started:

He was so loved by the agents he served as well as his prospects, that he often received compliments saying he was the best they had ever heard! He got his start as a stock broker and licensed insurance agent at IDS, working into the role of district sales manager, training other brokers and moved onto other major brokerage firms such as Dean Witter, EF Hutton, Merril Lynch before moving solely into the insurance industry.

Growing up I would often listen to him as he would make calls from home in the evenings. Little did I know that one day he would be training me, and that his amazing down-to-earth, sincere and genuinely caring ways, as well as an amazing sense of humor, would become my biggest influence and the goal to which I would aspire. Ed retired in 2004 and passed his business onto me.

Dad's favorite quote is by the legendary Ben Feldman: "The analogy I like to use is that last year 10 million ¼ inch drill bits were sold. How many of those people wanted to buy a drill bit? The answer is none. They had a problem. They needed a ¼ inch hole. The only way to solve the problem was to buy a ¼ inch drill bit."
